
Ingredients
- 1 cup Bluebird Cracked Farro Porridge
- 3 cups water
- pinch salt
Methods
- Combine 1 cup Cracked Farro Porridge with 3 cups of water (or milk if you want creamier cereal) and a pinch of salt in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring frequently for 12-15 minutes. Add more liquid if necessary.
Overnight preparation
- Combine 1 cup Bluebird Cracked Farro Porridge with 3 cups of water or milk and a pinch of salt. Let sit overnight (in the refrigerator if using milk)
- Warm up in the morning, adding a splash of liquid for desired consistency.
Savory Cracked Farro Polenta
- Combine 1 cup of Cracked Farro Porridge with 3 cups of stock and a pinch of salt.
- Bring to a boil and simmer, stirring frequently for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and spread on cookie sheet at 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cool and cut into 2"X4" rectangles
- Pan fry in oil and butter and serve with favorite topping (tomato sauce etc).
