Shipping Practicalities & Policies

We ship all of our products within the US and Canada, using USPS or UPS as our primary shipping methods.

Timeframes

Bluebird offers UPS 3 Day Select® Guaranteed delivery. Service is available to the 48 contiguous US states. Although the service guarantees three-day delivery, please note there are some special factors that can affect timeframes for our packages:

  • Our farm is located in an extremely rural area. This can affect UPS delivery timeframes.
  • Weather can also cause delivery delays beyond Bluebird Grain Farms control.
  • Please note that we cannot always ship on the day the order arrives, as we prepare and mill our products to order. The delivery guarantee starts when the package ships, not when the order is placed. Thank you for your understanding.

Shipping Accuracy

We provide a tracking number for all packages, so that we can guarantee and confirm delivery of our products to your doorstep (or location of choice). Please check your addresses carefully when placing your order! Our delivery guarantee extends only to correctly addressed orders. We are no longer responsible for your package once the shipment has been deemed “delivered” by the carrier’s tracking number.

We also cannot guarantee the condition of the package if the delivery service encounters delays outside of our control (such as weather) or reroutes your package.

CSA and Monthly Subscriptions

The first box in all CSA subscriptions will immediately be shipped via USPS or UPS. Subsequent CSAs shipments go out on the 15th of each month, with delivery times varying based on your location. If you would like to delay or change your monthly CSA subscription we must receive changes prior to your shipment leaving our warehouse. We can not retrieve packages once they have been shipped.

 

Monthly subscriptions are offered at 5% discount for continued shipments of our products. You can choose one month or three month recurring delivery on products that are eligible for subscriptions. You will receive an email reminding you of your subscription charge and shipment each month that your product is scheduled to ship.  You will not be charged until your subscription is scheduled to renew.  If you want to cancel or change your subscription, you need to do so prior to your subscription being fulfilled and  shipped. Once a subscription leaves our warehouse, we cannot change, modify, or accept a return, unless the product is damaged during transit. If it is damaged during transit you have 5 business days to inform us and send us photos of the damages to start your claim.

Canada

Shipping to Canada can be expensive. Our flat rate shipping options only apply to shipments in the USA. USPS flat rate international boxes generally is the most economical choice. UPS may look cheaper up front, but they do not include necessary customs fees, which you may be asked to pay at the time of delivery. USPS fees include those customs costs so that you never have to pay extra after your original purchase. You will be able to select your international shipment at checkout.

International

We do ship to other countries, most commonly Canada. Shipping can be very expensive and sometimes impractical.  We handle international shipping on a case-by-case basis, so please contact us directly if you have questions.
