Organic Whole Grain Spelt Berries- an ancient whole wheat berry with a nutty, slightly tangy flavor. Cooks in 40-50 minutes. Great in soups and stews.
On stovetop, add 1 cup of spelt berries to 3 cups of water with a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 40-60 minutes or until desired tenderness is reached. Drain excess water.
Spelt can also be cooked in a rice cooker using the brown rice setting.
One cup makes 3-4 servings.
