Organic Emmer Pancake & Waffle Mix

Our easy to make Emmer Pancake & Waffle Mix is a favorite in our mountain town. The natural sweet nutty flavor of  emmer flour will bring fresh ground goodness to your breakfast table. High in protein, fiber and B vitamins; our pancakes are a great source of energy and nutrition for all ages.  Emmer waffles were coined a snack time favorite at our local Little Star Montessori School. Recipe included on the back of the package.  Add: milk, buttermilk, oil, egg.  2 lbs.

Ingredients: Organic Emmer Wheat Flour, Non-aluminum Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and Sea Salt

In a bowl, mix together 1/3 cup milk, 3/4 cup buttermilk, 1 large egg and 2 Tablespoons of melted butter or oil. Whisk in 1 cup of Emmer Pancake mix and stir to combine.
Heat griddle or waffle iron. Brush generously with oil or butter. Drop batter onto griddle or waffle iron and cook until the bottom browns and surface starts to bubble. Flip cake and cook through.
1 cup dry mix makes six 4″ pancakes or two 8″ waffles.
